Division 1
Hants. v Essex (The Bowl) Notts. v Yorks. (TB) Som. v Kent (Taunton)
Division 2
Northants. v Middx. (Wantage Road) Sussex v Leics. (Hove) Derbs. v Dur. (Derby)
On paper that’s five one-sided games, and one that shouldn’t matter much in the grand scheme of things. Essex Notts. Somerset Middlesex and Sussex should all walk their matches, weather permitting.
In practice, I reckon Sussex and Notts. could be primed for upsets. Mohammad Abbas, bowling first? Mmm, tasty. (EDIT: Apparently he’s not playing, never mind. Sussex to stroll to victory.) And I believe that the Yorkies have Root this game? There also seems to have been an upsurge in interest around Durham, centred around second-chancers Jack Burnham and Sandy Bancroft. We’ll see if it’s justified.

Uncontested all round, apart from wetness at Taunton and the random toss at Derby. Who have opted to bat first. Must be a flat bastard.

When Rushworth retires Durham really will be in the soup. Until then,

Are you on the Guardian blog Matt? Balla and I are both over there, going to go down to one liveblog so I can pretend to do some work more efficiently.

I'll go take a look. Tend to forget the Guardian exists.
Pretending to do some work is a good idea, but with this tab, 3 x ESPN tabs and the BBC open not sure I'm fooling anyone!
