Is Stokes the most over rated cricketer in international cricket? Bit of a reverse mockers effort....but I can't help thinking he's a bit high at 5, and is prob 4th choice bowler...... Top notch stuff that. Just got back, lovely day out and that catch was mind bogglingly good. On the wrong side of the ground for us sadly.

Is Stokes the most over rated cricketer in international cricket? We look like right sillies now eh? (I say ‘we’, I mostly mean ‘you’. )

West Indies have put Pakistan in to bat. Should be an intriguing game this one.

Well, let's remember it's just one match.....and see what the rest of the tournament brings. Yesterday's performance in a perverse way kind of supports my point....as he has it in him to produce like he did yesterday and as a result he is put on a very hig pedestal. He rolls out these worldie matches every so often, but does he do it often enough to deserve his considered status in the world's elite, that is the question!

The WI bowling attack looks terrible. Really bad. Thomas might get a few cheap wickets; otherwise I just can’t see where they’re coming from.
EDIT: Missed Russell. Still though, that’s 20 overs at a push.
EDITEDIT: I’m starting to look a bit silly.

Maybe the pacers aren’t so bad. Not sure I rate Brathwaite much: he hasn’t done a great deal since destroying Stokes. And Nurse is bobbins. But Russell, Holder, Thomas, and Soulja Boy is decent.
Imagine what could be though: Russell, Holder, Archer, Jordan, Thomas. Now that would have been a frightening prospect.

Pakistan look utterly utterly terrible. On for losing 11 in a row. Nailed on to beat us in the semis at this rate.

If the Windies get consistent enough to make the semis, they suddenly become my favourites for the tournament, I think. That batting power in the knockouts could well be lethal, means the bowling doesn’t always need to be that good!

Everyone plays the usual "Pakistan are inconsistent but can be brilliant" tune.
They're not inconsistent. They're consistently rubbish. Between them and Sri Lanka for the wooden spoon I think, Afghans are a better side than either.
(Playing with fire here, might look as good as Balladeer at predictions in a few weeks)

Good to see reducing the number of teams in the World Cup to 10 has got rid of uncompetitive matches...

Good to see reducing the number of teams in the World Cup to 10 has got rid of uncompetitive matches... To think, the Windies could conceivably have not qualified for this tournament. Bonkers.
