I'm very glad I didn't follow the last bit of Middx. vs. Som. Sounds like a tiny glimmer of hope, before having it ruthlessly removed again.

Middlesex were oh so close. Durham looks and intriguing contest tomorrow, Kent could get a foothold back if they get early wickets tomorrow, and Glamorgan have nearly recovered perfectly. Anuerin Donald looked class in his 42*

Durham v Warks may decide the Championship. If Warks win, apart from improving Middlesex's chances of 2nd place, it brings Warks into the battle for the top 3 and just about kills the Durham challenge for the Pennant dead.
The projected table, with a Warks win, would be:
1. Yorkshire, P9, 165pts 2. Middlesex, P11, 151pts 3. Durham, P10, 140pts 4. Warks, P10, 133pts 5. Somerset, P10, 116pts

See I don't think it's over yet. If Rushworth bowls a spell like he is capable of Durham can tear through what has been an exposed and weak Warwickshire middle/lower order. Mark is definitely right though, it all but gives the title to Yorkshire unless they encounter a major cock up!

Yorkshire have all but had the title for a while now. Hate to say it, but what a side. Hain to make a mockery of Durham's bowling today?

I don't dislike Yorkshire (I know I buck the trend here). They're youth policy has been incredible and is just working brilliantly, they still have more talent coming through too! Hain to scored an unbeaten 50 as Laurie Evans notches up another 100

Yes Sri that's the spirit!
I have 2 quetions for you actually. 1- What does Michael Richardson do wrong? He regularly makes it to 20/30 but never seems to go on or if he does he gets stuck between 50 & 60. 2- Where do Durham need to strengthen in the post season and who do they need to bring in. Putting my bias asside, Jennings only averages 23 this year so I presume another opener would be needed, knock Keaton down the order a bit?

Re Richardson, I don't think he has a technical flaw at all. Yesterday he counterattacked got 20 but over did it and got out. It's a mental thing, gives his wicket away a little too much for my liking, but I'm more than happy to give him time. Really strengthening the side will be difficult because they'll have to convince players who are good Enough to play for England but won't and convince them to move to North East for not a lot of money. From what I've seen of Jennings, I think he has the making of a very good opener, leaves the ball well outside off and is brilliant off his pads, ala cook but he doesn't move his feet and so needs to sort it out. Ideally though I'd want a new opener, Klinger would be ideal, and someone to replace onions if the academy lads don't make it. Although I'd also want a solid middle order batsman to replace colly when he leaves.

Lack of concentration for Richardson then? He has played some important knocks in partnerships, I just felt it's preventing him becoming a really good player.
Fair enough. I saw his first innings dismissal, and for all intensive purposes, he just missed the ball. Yes he maybe got a bit too head on but he just played on the wrong line. What do you think of the academy guys? Any caught your eye specifically? What about Clark or is he going to be more One Day suited? Replacing Collingwood will be tough, you need that dobbly medium pacer to just change things up really.
