Slow and steady start for Durham on a fairly usual CLS pitch, that has bounce and carry and something for the seamers.
EDIT: Just as I say that, Stoneman smacks three fours in four balls in the very next over.

I can tell you that both Somerset and Durham have made solid starts today. I'm on a break from KP.

Shocking scenes at Merchant Taylor's as Middlesex's roving reporter, Dave Townsend, demolishes the buffet.

It's been a good day for Middlesex from the looks of it, but they have three big obstacles to overcome - time, the weather, and their own batting. I'm hoping for a win, not necessarily expecting more than a draw. But that's the Middlesex fan's way, isn't it? Durham vs. Warks. could go either way at this stage. Essex vs. Glam. similar.

The Machines are right on top, but they need some decent weather tomorrow and to remove the last two wickets quickly. Close at CLS: Durham probably on top for me. Essex threatening to hole Glamorgan's promotion charge below the water line.

Bad start to Glamorgan's innings but the top order is still too fragile. With Ingram, Meschede & Wagg all in form, and Cooke back after family issues, I wouldn't be too surprised if you saw a decent first innings total from them.
Weather doesn't look too good across the country today, rain at all the grounds first thing, but meant to then be overcast and dark the rest of the day. Wouldn't be too surprised if we saw a lot of 'rain/bad light stopped play' today

Looking out of the window, it doesn't look good for a result at Northwood.

*sigh* That'll be a real shame if the day is rained off. Middlesex need this win to stay with an outside chance of the title!

Oh, I'm not hoping for that. It would be nice to make top three.

Hi CR_KS! Didn't know guests were allowed to post, but I guess there's no harm in it. You should get an account, so that you can enjoy the indescribable joy of watching your rank move away from being Jade Dernbach.
Not actively raining in London. Might not be too long before Middx. and Som. have some play. How much is another matter.

Rain at the Oval this morning. Just waiting for the highlights of another Alex Blake match winning innings now From what I've heard it was just clever batting with some excellent timing & shot selection. Cries for him to be put into the 4 day team are a bit silly though. Good to see we have finally signed Dickson!!
