Northants look like they might struggle to reach the follow on target of -13 here to be honest.

Northants 39-7 now. Could easily see 25 wickets in a day. The joys of batting in September.

Away from the ludicrous scorecards, can we take a moment to appreciate Leicestershire's debutant? He has two first names and two surnames, it's just that the surnames are both middle names.
His name is Benjamin Wentworth Munro Mike
Wow.

No batting points for Somerset. So close, and yet...

Yes, for all the talk of pitch inspectors, we've neatly docked ourselves five batting points here.

So how long do people give Lancashire today? I’m going with 20 overs.

Well, our opening partnership made just the 182 fewer than Notts' did. Classy stuff gents.

A new FC match best for Leach, 12/101.
Watch him not play in Sri Lanka for some reason.

He really does look painfully likely to carry drinks on that tour.
They'll probably pick Joe Denly for his better-than-part-time spin. Or Liam Dawson, for bants.

Still not sure why Denly is in contention.
Bloody hell, Taunton.

I just don't get why we'd do this. We're better than Lancashire. Introducing this level of chaos just risks bonus points and a freak result. It made sense to have raging pitches when were in relegation trouble but this just feels like a lack of confidence in our own abilities which is absolutely not justified.

Meanwhile Gary Ballance can’t understand why everyone else is finding batting so hard.
