Oh, and Jack Leach has been concussed by a Morne Morkel bouncer, meaning that Max Waller will bat. Poor Jack is not getting much luck this season.
Edit: It's actually his birthday today. Poor sod.

Ouch.
I mean, literally, and also metaphorically.
I can see Surrey winning the Champo from here.

Ouch. I mean, literally, and also metaphorically. I can see Surrey winning the Champo from here. Don't think that's a particularly controversial shout considering their team is like this without Foakes, both Currans, Stoneman & Roy. On paper the best team in the division, and currently it looks like that on grass as well.

I thought the Oval might restrict them to a few draws, but Morkel and Virdi (and apparently Patel) have found ways to overcome that.

9 down, Hildreth needs 11 for a rearguard ton, 70 behind. Moral victories only at this point I think.

A moral loss as well as an actual one then.

Fantastic all-round victory for Surrey, Hildreth left stranded on 89 in the second innings. As for Surrey winning the league, I still think it is to early to say.

I blame Renshaw.
Meanwhile, nice rearguard actions from Warks. and Lancs. They couldn’t, could they?

Well the good news about that bore draw for me was that Hampshire now only have to endure one more day-night game... assuming they do the sensible thing and bin it off after the 3 year trial

Renshaw broken his finger and going home early. Bugger.
