Somerset enforce the follow-on. Always a dicey tactic IMO with over the half the game left and two spinners in the side. The Fear comes in waves.

Given the match circumstances, they ought to win regardless... I know it often isn't that simple.
Durham saved by the rain for now. It won't last.

I hear that Bess has been bowling consistently too short. Effects of Broaderson rubbing off?

Virdi, on the other hand...
Hm, I think Cricinfo has a bug. It says Durham are still batting.

Fantastic win for Surrey to take them to the top of the Championship, superb effort by the bowlers.

Meanwhile Durham have gone from 159/7 to 358/8. Not bad, that. Top Umeeding from new lad Salisbury.

Messrs. Viljoen and Olivier have been very understanding on that front.
Lancashire’s batting finally put out of its misery. Somerset fans, though: what’s up with Dom?

The Somerset Steve Smith. Notts having a specialist bat at 8 is a strange old team. Do they have a weird injury crisis to field two seamers and one spinner?

Did say enforcing the follow-on was a bad idea. It's always a bad idea unless you're pressed for time or the conditions are overly seam-friendly. Never, ever listen to crusty old 'In-my-day' Sky commentators.

Leicestershire claim their second win of the season, things going slightly better under Paul Nixon. On the other hand, Northamptonshire are having a dire season so far.
