How shitty would it be for the ECB to put him straight in the next short form squads for the Windies

I'm a bit torn. As I understand it he said he was willing to wait the full term. On the other hand it's not much of a boost for home-grown quicks.

How shitty would it be for the ECB to put him straight in the next short form squads for the Windies Given his BPL and Big Bash commitments Sussex have confirmed he doesn't fulfill the qualification criteria until March, too late to make it on to the Windies tour but just in time for the provisional world cup squad to be named, where they name about 30 odd players before narrowing it down. I suppose he could pull out of one or both if he really wants to be on that tour - and one of his tweets yesterday gave the impression that he'd be willing to if he needed - but he'd be giving up a fairly tidy wage packet if he did I'd imagine, so it's likely not going to be until next summer that he pulls on an England top.

Not inconceivable that on the next tours of Australia and South Africa that between Archer, Stone, Stokes (when he slips himself, like he did in those spells in Sri Lanka) and J. Overton England could field a quicker attack than both of the home sides.
