Lewis Gregory unable to provide his standard t20 antics of 30-50 runs at 200+ SR - won them a lot of games this season but not his day today

Glad the lankies went early, surprising that it took Sussex so long to get going in the tournament with the bowling attack they have, not really fussed who wins it to be honest, just glad the weather didn't fuck it with the seemingly deliberate scheduling by the shower, one may think they didn't want a successful blast finals day with a mid sept schedule

Delighted for Mo - always enjoyable when such a likable cricketer has success as a captain

6 years in a row it's been won by a northern side interestingly, and 6 years in a row at Edgbaston - in fact Sussex the first Southern team in the final since 2013! Impressive figures - coincidence or not?!
Similarly, Championship won 8 years in a row by Northern teams until they changed the toss rule (now 3 in a row for South)

Fantastic effort from a young, talented and home-grown squad to win the cup. So happy for Mo and the whole of Worcestershire county cricket club.

Real shame that Somerset came apart under pressure (...again) but nobody could begrudge Worcester anything. What an intensely likeable team.

It’s curious that each team only plays 14 in the groups still, and that it’s relatively fixed as to who doesn’t play who (big games e.g. Roses, El Classicoast always happen twice). In the t20 season you’ve got teams bored (source: radio commentary), playing 1-2 evenings a week. Surely with t20 being the main money source for many clubs we can fit in another two games?! So many Friday-Sunday dates not being used even! Unplayed games like Hants vs Surrey would’ve still got a bigger crowd than about 20 days of championship, probably - easy money
