Division 1Som. vs. Hants. Surrey vs. Yorks. Notts. vs. Lancs. Worcs. vs. Essex Division 2Kent vs. Sussex Middx. vs. Gloucs. Warks. vs. Northants. Derbs. vs. Durham Leics. vs. Glam. Again, top two of each are the marquee matches for my money. Somerset vs. Hampshire is probably the main match in Division 1, as the Oval match threatens to be another bore draw and I'd expect Notts. and Essex to win easily. In Division 2, I'd expect Sussex to win at Canterbury, but Kent has one more win in hand and Matt Henry. Middx. have to start winning if they want to stand a chance at promotion, and I'd say if they don't take this one they may as well forget about it for the season. Warks. should smash Northants., and nobody cares about the bottom two... apart from me.

Somerset win, Yorks win by an innings (or a roadval draw), Notts win, Worcs loss.
Kent draw, Middx draw, Warks win, Durham win, Glamorgan win

Mason Crane is in the Hampshire squad!
Didn't think he'd be back from injury until June.

Would be surprised if Crane plays. Bess isn't in the Somerset squad, which suggests it'll be green not brown.
Jimmy vs Broad at Trent Bridge. Quite fancy Jimmy to have his way with a few Notts batsmen, brought him into my fantasy team for Tim Murtagh.
Will have more than one eye on Malahide, but Somerset vs Hants should be a cracking game. A terrifying vision of a dystopian future though as the opening partnership will not contain one ME Trescothick. Get well soon Banger.

Jimmy vs. Broad’s great and all, but we know they’ll both be in the Test side. However, I’ve found a reason for other people to care about DervDur: Footitt vs. Wood. Hoping one of them can show their England credentials by knocking over a bunch of Division 2 batsmen. Ideally Wood, natch.

The things you learn from squad announcements: apparently Oliver Hannon-Dalby is still a thing in red ball cricket. Stone should be back and Brookes looks a good prospect so I think I might keep an eye on the Bears game to get my fix of pace for the round. As always the Surrey stream will be on too - Mark Church's soft London burr soothes my soul for reasons unknown.

Apparently Jimmy's gone back to being a natural brunette. But what on Earth will we talk about now?

Hampshire went for the toss (presumably so they could bat) and Somerset won it, and chose to bowl. I guess everyone is happy then?

Leach AND Bess for Somerset! No Crane or Dawson for Hampshire though Dawson is injured, and Crane was always unlikely. He's not meant to be back from injury himself yet! No Brad Taylor in the XI is a bit of a surprise though. No specialist spinner at Ciderabad?

Root and Bairstow at the roadval? You would think that would mean lots and lots of runs for Yorkshire, but i'll not hold my breath
