England don't tend to face low 80s opening attacks, makes a difference I reckon, proper test bowler coming on now tho

Decent stage for George Bartlett to make his maiden first class hundred. Old Trafford v Jimmy and a Test capped bowler in Mennie, all in front of Ed Smith too. His previous highest score was only 39!

Is it too early to start his bandwagon rolling? Or does that need Shane Warne’s permission?

Listening to the Surrey comms and Mark Church has a point - I reckon Burns hasn't made enough hundreds in the past to truly demand an England spot but it is odd he's seemingly never even been considered. The man hasn't even played for the Lions. I mean, Andrew Gale played for the Lions for God's sake. Everyone plays for the Lions. How has Burns not?

Bairstow 50 and out. Took him 42 balls to equal his team's first innings score

Critchley's just done Trotty like a kipper in the flight, which is a polite way of saying he basically missed a half volley.

Can’t be too concerned at 371 for 5! You’re not in Sussex’s place... or Durham’s...

Marcus Trescothick scored 100 today with a broken foot at the age of 42. We are not even close to worthy.
