We're up a month early! How bloomin' organised is that? You can find us at cricketxi.com/I've made a County Cricket Live league with join code IPKMGTKQ We'll carry on adding players when signings get confirmed, but get your teams in and it's unlimited transfers until the first game The main thing that's new for 2018 is an Open league - which means that it's not head to head games but amassing as many points as possible, a more traditional UK fantasy approach. That's what I've chosen for the CCL game because it means we can have an unlimited number of players, but feel free to set up your own head to heads too. Anyway, we'd love to break last year's record for the number of players so sign up, tell your friends and let me know if there's anyone missing - I think I've done a fairly thorough sweep through County websites although a surprising number of those are out of date. Now, see how many cheap players you need to get Amla and Stevens - the twin gems in the CC crown

Am I missing a rules/scoring etc. page?
Seems the strategic choice is whether to pick up useful reserves or resigning ourselves to all ending up with Josh Bohannon in our teams when Darren Stevens does a Simon Jones on the first morning of the season.

cricketxi.com/help?comp_id=29This is the scoring page. Gonna try and add a "Tips on selecting your side" page soon, but overall I think the prices are sensible enough that you can pick players like to play in every position and 1-2 top top players, or 3-4 top players and then leave yourself with youth players who've never played a game on the bench. The latter works as long as you're very careful to see who isn't playing in each round and stay on top of mid season transfers. For example, my first attempt at a team (expect many transfers before the season starts!) is: Batsmen: Daryl Mitchell, Dom Sibley, Adam Hose, Eddie Byrom, Max Holden All Rounders: Darren Stevens, Paul Coughlin, Ryan Higgins Wicket Keepers: Ben Brown, Tom Moores Bowlers: Joe Mennie, Liam Norwell, Mark Foottit, Brett Hutton, Barry McCarthy I think every single player there should end up playing most of their team's games, barring injury.

Nicely done, all set up. Random question - why was there a bit about Damian Barrett in the FAQs? As a former Melbourne resident and AFL follower, made me laugh, anyway.

Ah, the guy who owns the site is an Aussie and therefore that FAQ comes as standard! Is he the Mark Nicholas of AFL?
Should have some more helpful posts up in the next day or two, then I'm going to start advertising more widely. Anyone who does know any respected journalists/Twitter talking heads, do send them this way!

Great stuff, looking forward to it!
One small qualm - why is everyone's favourite reality TV star, Ian Holland, not listed for Hants?

Hi nemouk. I just tried entering that code for the CricketXI league and it said the league was full? Any ideas? Should I start a second division?

Try again now? It's an open league so shouldn't have a limit but I think I know what's gone wrong.

Hi nemo. It seems as if the "lockout" is 10 hours too early this week. Is this intentional? Personally, I loved the mad scramble from 10.45-11.00 to make sure all my players are actually playing..

Ah no, I think this happened with the first round too and we had to fix it, think the fixtures file we uploaded had all the games starting at midnight. Will take a look.
Some interesting decisions to make this week regarding team make up, my usual plan of finding the swingiest medium pace bowlers I can may be a bit unsuited to 26 degrees. Should I actually invest in batsmen for a change? Maybe even spinners!
