www.thetimes.co.uk/article/306aef72-fb00-11e7-a987-7fcf5e9983dcThis is... not a terrible idea. Three conferences of 6, ten group games playing home and away and then playoffs. Means getting rid of the divisional gap, fewer games to hopefully make scheduling them at sensible times easier and knockout first class cricket. A lot to like in that proposal I'd say, just as long as it means we can play most of the games at sensible times.

Hmmm....I kind of like the divisional status, those last 3 rounds of games in D1 were brilliant last season, full of intrigue and kept the championship really exciting. I still think 3 divisions of 6 would be the way to go, but completely accept the position that the divisional structure really hurts the smaller counties who struggle to hold on to their players who have England desires.
I don't personally have that big an issue with Kolpaks, OK it's irritating but I think it adds a level of quality to the championship, and for me if a young english player is good enough they shouldn't be held back (OK i know some are).
As with any proposal there are going to be holes to pick in it, personally i'd rather the RLOD cup was looked at / marginalised / sacked off all together.....and some county games played in fu**ing June, July and August, but that there is a pipe dream, and if any change still results in spring and late late late summer it's still pointess.

I suggested this a few years ago in a county structure I came up with. Attachments:county structure.docx (12.32 KB)
