I've got Gubbins, Bell-Drummond, Dent, Alsop, Dawson, Curran, Mustard, Rushworth, Miles, Gurney, Topley, with Clarke, Pringle, Richardson, Crane on the 'bench'. Generally went for a solid team of dependable and consistent pros with a few youngsters coming through. Made my team a while back and still quite happy with it, don't want to tinker too much just yet, but byes may force me to
My heart pulled me towards a bit of a Hampshire bias (also Gloucestershire which I didn't expect). 3 Durham players in there too as I feel they have the potential to walk some games.

Merry summer one and all! Sorry, been very lame on the Cricket chat over Christmas. Fantasy team up and running - good work once again Nemo. Gone with a heavy Div 2 bias: Gubbins, north east, Ballance Livingstone (Burnham), Gidman (W), Mullaney, (Rawlins), Steven DAvies, Coles, Onions, Archer and Joverton (my tip for the season... as he has been for the last 3) (Norwell). I take it we can 'sub in' and 'out' each week if teams aren't playing? Been split between going for a squad or a first team only and probably ended up somewhere in between.

Yes you can sub in from your bench plus you can make a limited number of transfers from outside your squad between games

Disappointing first week from my team, already sacked the captain and opening pair and probably another change on the way. Enjoying it though, great work Nemo!

Quite happy with how the week went for my team, but I still made 4 changes!

In case anyone's interested in another fantasy league challenge, I've set up one for the Topklasse in the Netherlands. About 90% of my reasoning for selecting players was purely based on their names, so I'll inevitably be more successful here!
The code to join is LGPZATQQ

Joined. I recognised maybe three players. Probably because Somerset are hoarding all the Dutch internationals...

Awesome, looking forward to this! For my team I first thought about Kolpakshire, then narrowed it down to South Africashire - whether Kolpak or overseas or neither. At first I thought this would be difficult, then I found that Surrey alone can make up my bowling attack, and Glamorgan's 4 most valuable players are all South African. I feared a lack of subs, but there are in fact 48 players I've found that are South African in some way at least - some count as English, obvious examples being Jennings or Roy, least obvious being James Fuller, who's playing on an English passport but counts as being from New Zealand, but born in SA.
edit: Realised I missed Dawid Malan, I think he makes 49! KP will add to this in t20, too. edit2: South Africans are all very good apparently. Very tricky to budget this!

I think your problem will be finding any South Africans cheap enough for your bench!

I'm very thankful of Surrey's 15k bowler filling a space. Without him I'd be in a lot of bother! Scrambled a fairly solid team together otherwise!
