Just had a wee look back at our predictions:
Of the 8 predictions, 6 predicted Essex to go down... oops 3 correctly predicted Warks to go down, the other choices for relegation being Hants (4), Lancs (2) and Yorks (1)
For the title, we had a big mix: Surrey 2.5, Somerset 2, Yorkshire 2, Middlesex 1.5. Essex, Lancashire, Hampshire could potentially be the real top three and nowhere to be seen!
In the second division, we had all had Notts, mostly as champions (we can all give ourselves a pat on the back now they're virtually up). Other promotion votes went: Kent 3 Sussex 2 Durham 2 (and a lot more honourable shout-outs to Durham)
Wooden Spoon wise we had 4.5 votes for Glamorgan, 2 Leics and 0.5 Derbyshire - fairly on the money, Glamorgan may pull a stunning 7th place out of the bag and Durham are still stuck down there but otherwise a success!
Gonna say aneesh was the closest - One of the two who didn't think Essex would go down, and had Notts with a mention of Worcs, just out a long way with Yorks and Durham

So who is going down, Yorkshire, Middlesex, Hampshire or Somerset?

We don't know, and that's the fun bit! (Or the nail-biting bit, delete as appropriate.)

Little voice back of my head says don't jinx it, so I am not saying that a certain side are almost safe

If Surrey come 2nd with only two wins, that'll be a bit annoying
I have a feeling Hants will go down now, we've been shocking in this format since early July! All the interviews a couple of weeks ago they were saying we were safe like it was a given, and saying how happy they were they weren't going to be nervously looking over their shoulders until the final day. So complacent, and the performances have showed. That said, if Somerset vs Middlesex gets a result, we probably only need a draw

So looks like ECB may bail out Middlesex and Hampshire by calling Taunton wicket poor and deducting points. Not exactly subtle favouritism seeing strip no different then any other there for last 2 seasons. Middlesex decision to play on outground and lose 3 days needs revisiting in that case.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, Crofty actually had scored a ton. Is this utopia?

If it is then God hates Durham with a vengeance.

Balladeer, if God = ECB, then you are right.

If the ECB run Utopia, then I wouldn't be surprised if this is it and it's just really shoddily managed. Instead of peace on earth, we have the James Vince-level equivalent, which is Trump and Kim having a shouting match.

Two years in a row that Hampshire have stayed up at the expense of one of 'my teams'. To be fair, they remain up for decent reasons this time, and if Vince bats like that in Australia I will be less inclined to rage against his selection. But a very very begrudging congratulations to Rod Bransgrove's Special Boys.
