Test series between Pakistan and Australia starts tonight with another day-night test match. Will be interesting to see how Australia's new players will cope with the Pakistani fast bowlers.

Matt Renshaw scored 71 and Smith is unbeaten on 73 as Australians look to pile up runs. Smithy and Handscomb are at the crease now, and Amir is down injured, stupid fans cheering as he went down. Damn them.

Just another Test series down under then. That Australian disarray looks like years ago already.

Smith should have been a goner at 97! Pak do not appeal for caught behind, Snicko shows a deflection and Hotspot picks up the edge. Lucky, very lucky indeed.
Instead he gets his 16th test century. Day ends with Aus at 288/3.

Maddison fails to impress again, as he falls for 1. At Dinner, Pakistan are 20/1 and they trail Aussies by 409. Handscomb and Smith finished with centuries. Wahab and Amir pick 4 wickets each.

Pakistan reminding us that, no matter how bad things may get for England fans, they could always be worse.
Aslam falls on his Cowan too.

Aslam falls for 22 off 100 balls, a fantastic Cowan full of false shots and jittery strokeplay. Pak are in deep trouble here with 6 wickets down for just 56 on the board.
Pakistan's night(mare) ends with the score 97/8. They still need 132 to avoid follow-on. Three wickets each for Starc and Josh. 2 wickets for 7 runs for Bird, who in the previous series was axed due to his poor batting. It seems Australian selectors are learning from their mistakes, unlike their English counterparts.
Australia close in on a huge lead, now 202/5 in the second innings. Nic Maddinson has yet again failed to get a start, its early days but still picking him in first place was questionable, especially ahead of Kurtis Patterson. Smith and Khawaja scored half centuries earlier and Handscomb is still unbeaten on 35. Australians will look to declare and take advantage of the swinging new ball under lights.

Very good fight back from Pakistan, big achievement to take match into fifth day considering they were 97-8 in first innings.

Australia didn't win by much, Shafiq and co batted really well but the bowlers, especially Lyon barely threatened.

That was epic stuff from Pakistan 450 in the fourth innings of a test and almost a win and they said this Pakistan side has a long tail.
This Battle between amir and starc in the elegant batsmen and fiery fast bowlers has got off to a great start

Pakistan will be Pakistan. They will never cease to surprise, and world cricket is much the better for it.

Hilton Cartwright is in the squad for the next test. Selectors have brought him in place of Mitch Marsh as a batting all-rounder, and Nic Maddo's place is looking shaky as well. But is Cart the wright man? Henriques is in such a rich vein of form. Kurtis Patterson and James Pattinson weren't considered as well.

Fantastic century for Azhar Ali, Pakistan in a good position with 310 already on the board with 4 wickets still to go.

Real chance that this test doesnt give a result with rain washing away more than a day's play. Azhar is looking pretty solid, and Shafiq as well.
