Aus need to bat out 90 overs and SA need 6 wickets more to win. Rabada's two wickets have made a massive difference to the proceedings.

And Australians have named an unchanged team for the next test. That is very strange, to name the same XI with several players under performing.

Also, am I the only one that thinks Marsh is getting an extended run in the team and Marsh is holding onto his place because of Marsh?

If you're hitting the five consecutive posts mark, you might want to edit instead of adding a new one!
I've seen a comparison of Marsh (M.) to Ajit Agarkar. Makes you think, doesn't it? (a) how lucky England are to have Stokes and Woakes, and (b) how Watson was actually quite underrated in Tests.

I think that how a person chooses to post is all very subjective. I've got no issue whatsoever with Aneesh's style, then again I'm also a girl with OCD tendencies so naturally I think I could edit a post until I'm blue in the face and still be unhappy. I guess I'm struggling to understand how this kind of nitpicking is justified on a board with so few posters.
Look, I've no dog in this fight whatsoever, but as an FYI, when I see the name Watson put forth as an underrated performer I can't help but laugh, but then again I laugh inappropriately at many many things. Character flaw. The point is, we're all going to get irritated by something, so can't we just PM our little peeves?

I dunno Belle, seems like you just sent a dog out! This isn't the first small forum I've been on, and I've felt there's an overriding Internet-wide culture of keeping DoPos (so close together in time) to a minimum? But then this place came from a liveblog where we all DoPo-ed, so it is slightly different... Shrug? Anyway, happy to not bring it up again, Aneesh is a great and active poster on here and I wouldn't want to put him off for a second. Instead, let's rejoice in South Africa's victory. Grand stuff, beating the Aussies at home. Especially happy for Duminy, who seemed never to be able to catch a break in any format. Poor old Shane though. You familiar with his Guerilla jingle Belle?

Sorry if I got a bit feisty there Balladeer. I promise I really don't have a dog in fight. I like everyone here & enjoy reading everyone's posts regardless of their number. My American tendency to fight the man is just another one my less endearing character flaws, I'm afraid. Sigh. Anyway, no, not aware of the jingle. In the name of all that's Holy and good please go ahead and tell me what it is though as I've already imagined it in my head and singing L.B.W. to the tune of P.Y.T. is not doing great things for my sanity. PS...YAY SA!

Superb performance by SA and Rabada just kept on going, loved his quote about being ready for Hobart if selected! As we lose one great quick bowler are we seeing the rise of a new world class quickie?
Even though i tend to be typing to myself most mornings ( I wake up before 5am normally ) I do look forward to reading all your posts, I feel a few kindred spirits here:)

Gee, the next page meant that I didn't notice whether I bumped the thread on several times. Lame, but I just think its like being a a chateau lafite forumer in a wine box world Feel bad for Khawaja, another missed centurion for Aussies. And Rabada was magnificent. As for Watson, a above-par bowler, average batsman and a horrible reviewer. While Aus are struggling to axe their all-rounder, SA are bringing the big gun, Dwaine Pretorious. Now that's a fine selection. He is a fine batsman and a fine bowler. As for Australia, Mr.Burns is back in the squad. Considering his form in home tests against West Indies and NZ, its hard to find a reason in why he was dropped in the first place. Also in, is Callum Ferguson. A classy Bell-like batsman who must have been called up much, much earlier. Let's see how they do in Hobart.

Rabada is brill. Anyway, no, not aware of the jingle. In the name of all that's Holy and good please go ahead and tell me what it is though as I've already imagined it in my head and singing L.B.W. to the tune of P.Y.T. is not doing great things for my sanity. I... don't actually know the original song. The lyrics are, perhaps predictably: 'Sha-hane Watson, Scores quite a few, Then he gets out, LBW.' to something like AEF#G, EF#EA, AEF#G, AEF#C#A, with A being the lowest note.

Thanks muchly for trying Balladeer, but as I'm moving house this week I haven't gotten around to any sort of effort to play this yet and sadly it may be several more weeks until I can actually find the keyboard on which I could give it a go. Just bear in mind that by "give it a go" I actually mean butcher the song completely, which has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a chef, but everything to do with me being a Chemical Engineer who has FAR less musical ability than the average rutabaga. At least a rutabaga can make music in a mouth. The good news though is that the internet is working and I discovered that Guerilla Cricket has a soundcloud! Couldn't find the Watson jingle, but I hit gold none the less! soundcloud.com/guerrilla-cricket/watson-wicket-4 Hahaha!

Siddle is injured, his place will be taken by Mennie in XI. Bird called up for cover, who still hasn't improved his batting prowess. How do you like them apples, Australia?

Seeing too many bowlers coming into Tests underbowled. Steyn, Siddle and I bet Anderson will break down if he plays 2nd test

So apparently Starc, who might be injured in the second Test will definitely play it, instead of being rested.
