Seems good call now with England scoring big runs 1st innings, hopefully Rashid can bowl with better fields.

Ow Rooty. Good but could have gone further.
Right, let's have a Moe-ton and then the lower order making things happen.

I must admit having sold my soul to the devil (see Nike) for a pair of air force one s, it is quite enjoyable watching a test match in a five-star hotel in Singapore. Although having had to hurry back to the airport to catch a flight couldn't see root eventually get his ton. Good on him In any case seeing as England have won this game, let me hope we can at least win 4-1 starting from the match I will be watching from the stadium in Vizag

Very good day for England, need to push past 450 to put pressure on India on a good wicket.

Meanwhile as the news sinks in from across the pond, i'm in a state of shock. The world has gone crazy wonder how Belle feels? No different than the way I felt yesterday, the day after Bush won or the day after Obama won. I never let the outcomes of elections determine my happiness. If somebody you love shouldn't have that kind of power over you, why give it to those who don't know you at all? IMO, the world would be a much better place if we all just let cricket determine our happiness, because even if you lose you know that no matter what she's still going to be there for you tomorrow and a love like that is a rare find indeed. Go England!

Ansari chosen ahead of Batty must have got something to do with batting. And variety. Anyway, it has been a heck of a day, all batsmen (except Duckett) playing very well. Also, Moeen is on 99* . Hope he gets a good night's sleep.
EDIT: England Women won their game against SL. Terrific performance from Heather Knight sealed the deal with 20 overs to spare. (I didn't see any thread)

Don't we all wish more and more from Cook, Belle? But to be fair, that wicket-taking delivery was way down the leg side and the umpire had no clue. So much that there was a broad daylight between the ball's track and leg stump. Shame Cook didn't think of reviewing, at that time. It might have got something to do with confusion regarding DRS in the run up to the series.

Indeed, but keep in mind if there hadn't been a dropped catch, he never would've gotten that far.
