Where did this seam come from? Are India finally developing a well-rounded attack? If they're actually fielding decent pacers (as well as Ashwin/Jadeja), then just maybe they'll deserve the right to be called the best team in the world, and that'll make England's inevitable thrashing at their hands a bit more bearable.

The ECB and the BCCI... Now all we need is for CA and Michael Vaughan to say something stupid this week, and that'll be the Cricketing Apocalypse upon us.
(EDIT: Damn it, MV's said something sensible instead. I think that might be even worse!)
And frankly the actual cricket isn't going much better either.

Sourav ganguly is the head of the CAB so he had a lot to do with the pitch at kolkata. Still it was something to give arguably one of the best seam bowling attacks in the world a green seamer and still beat them convincingly I doubt the rest of the country will follow suit though for the rest of the season In any case I think India have the best attack they have ever had Bhuvi and the spin duo are lethal on surfaces that offer even a hint of swing or spin and Shami is excellent at reverse swing

Okay that is an exceptionally long story and I'll try to keep it short and simple This is the context you need to understand After the two IPL teams were banned by the lodha committee they also gave some recommendations to BCCI and said they need to do it or else Since then bcci have been fighting those recommendations, they went to icc who said we want no part of this problem then they went to court and the court ordered them to follow the recommendations Pissed off, Bcci decided that they were the richest and most powerful board and they will do what they want and didn't follow recommendations Now back to the story at hand Since the bcci didn't follow recommendations so the lodha committee decided to stop two specific payments from bcci to the state associations. The bcci misunderstood that as the lodha freezing all accounts and said they will cancel the remainder of nz series because accounts were frozen So as a result of this misunderstanding the committee had to come out clear the air and say that only two payments have been stopped and the routine expenses the bcci have to shell out can go on and there is no threat to the series or any other thereafter

In spite of all this off field mess both teams have always been ready to play and finish the tour
Hope that clears the air and all resolves into nothing at the backdrop of a 3-0 series win
Now that even Nohit is scoring runs I might actually have nothing to moan about

India complete 3-0 series win with Ashwin taking 13 wickets in the match and nice to see Pujara make a century. Hopefully England can compete better than New Zealand and at least win a few test matches or the series maybe, but it is going to be extremely hard playing the Indian spinners.

Yeah watching this NZ series has not made me in any way confident about England's chances of doing much better. Watching Ashwin at home must be roughly how it feels touring England in April and seeing Jimmy at the top of his run...

3 down, 10 more to go. Now an England 5-0 whitewash would be nice, although why do I have a feeling that the Chennai Test will be rain-affected.

Yeah watching this NZ series has not made me in any way confident about England's chances of doing much better. Watching Ashwin at home must be roughly how it feels touring England in April and seeing Jimmy at the top of his run... To be fair, I think Jimmy is an easier task to handle in those conditions than Ashwin in India. At best, Jimmy got five wickets or so but always after an initial burst he goes off the attack. Here, Ashwin bowls 10-12 overs in a row so there is no respite. And at the rate at which he is churning out wickets, I won't be surprised if he finished at around 300 wickets in less than 50 Tests, help from conditions or not those are incredible numbers. So is SEVEN Man of the Series awards from 14 SERIES. He is already fourth on the all-time list and at this rate will be second by the end of home season with one against England and Australia. Love him or hate him, you simply cannot deny he is unplayable when he has even the slightest hint of assistance and him picking up the wicket of Williamson four times out of four is proof that he gets top wickets not just the tail when the batting is crumbling.

Extremely comfortable win for India in first ODI, New Zealand's woes with the bat continuing.

The India v England tests will have DRS. I am genuinely astonished.

So am I. But although the technology isn't perfect and there are still flaws given the amount of decisions that have gone against India in the past few months might have made them change their mind, especially when they are looking for a 13-0 home season, shouldn't leave anything to chance
