Well, everyone's favourite 2nd team playing against a nation many believe should not have Test status.
This should be a walk in the park for New Zealand, without Taylor the Zimbabweans lack depth & quality in their batting line up.
Zimbabwe don't even know their own side that can resist Boult & Southee.
In the squad only Regis Chakabva, Tino Mawoyo & Hamilton Masakadza have test hundreds. Out of those Mawoyo injured his finger in a warm up game so could be out, Chakabva isn't guaranteed to play & Masakadza has the tendancy to get to 20 then play a stupid shot to give it all away.
Sean Williams, Craig Ervine & Sikandar Raza are other men in the squad who have the ability to score important runs. Williams averages 43 in FC cricket, Ervine 39 & Raza 34.
This will be a good chance for New Zealand batsman to get their averages up you'd feel!
Sweepstake on how many Zimbabwe will score in their 1st innings?

No disrespect to Steadzz, but I'm not sure this even deserves its own thread. Still I'm happy to have a go at the shitstake. 225.

Other than losing Chari (Who's a very hit & miss player anyway), Zimbabwe have actually looked okay against Boult & Southee. Chibhabha has looked like the player he has been in One day cricket, assured but not rushed.

Spoke to soon, Steadzz. Spoke to soon. Way too soon. Typical Zimbabwe, Masakadza & Chibhabha threw their wickets away, then Williams heads one to Mid-wicket & gets given out!

New Zealand really peppering Zimbabwe with a lot of short balls, both batsmen just about hanging in.
Edit: Not now, 72-8

Madness from Craig Ervine to come dancing down the wicket when they were just starting to build a partnership. That's what separates the good sides from the bad. Mental strength.

Got to give that ninth-wicket partnership credit though. Astounding considering.
Matt wins the shitstake by a solitary run scored. One less and it'd've been a tie between him and Steadzz. Well done Matt.

So this is why Zimbabwe don't play Tests and India only go for limited-overs tours to zimbabwe almost every year or two. At least the Kiwi averages, both batting and bowling are improving. So i'm all for that. And any match that gives BJ Watling a century is a match that deserves to be play. #BJisthebest

The Zimvabweans have shown real fight in this second innings & the latter part of the 1st. Craig Ervine is good enough for test level & Sean Williams has batted beautifully in this innings even when he is ill! A real classy player is Williams.

Fantastic hundred from Sean Williams, fastest by a Zimbabwean.
Edit: New Zealand win by innings and 117 runs, but nonetheless good fight from zimbabwe making 295.
