Sri Lanka bowling. Think Cook might have to wait a couple of innings for his record.

Test Cricket is back, TMS in my ear, no meetings today, Cook to score a hundred. Lovely jubbly.

Cookwatch: 28 to get.
Haleswatch: off the mark thank goodness.
1140: Here comes Geoffrey. "Couldn't get mah moom out," then Hales edges it to the boundary.
1144: Geoffrey says "rhubarb", Boycott Bingo ticked.

Geoffrey Boycott reminds me of my uncle.
I hate my uncle.

3 for Herath to get 300 too. One of the most underrated bowlers around. Has Boycs brought out the "just a bunch of club bowlers" yet? It's a favourite of his when SL are in town I'm actually pleased to see Hales doing the job an opener should be doing, rather than the job people seem to want a "modern" opener to do (which usually results in more ducks than a Chinese takeaway).

He's been slagging it off, not said it's "a good county attack" yet.
"Pitch it oop, pitch it oop"... I've been defending Boycott as a self-parody, but actually he's annoying me. Wish Roshan would challenge him a bit more.
He's just talked about James Vance... This could become the "bugger off Boycott" thread.

Well, now Mathews is on, he's a bit more correct, but plenty of bowlers like him around the counties succeed. Writing them off two years ago didn't go too well.
They could be a bit fuller. Pradeep's getting good movement at a decent pace nevertheless.

Chameera on, should cause a few problems with his extra pace.

Hales has certainly taken a fancy to Mathews. Juddering along nicely now. Have to say, I should confirm that Boycott got a bit more fun once Roshan started hitting back. He needs someone to stand up to him in the commentary box. That's why him and Aggers work well together. EDIT: Now they're talking about the f***ball, and Cook is out. Coincidence? I think not.

After all that solid leaving and defence Cook swipes a poor wide one to slip.

Poor really from Chef. Still, will only need 20 runs next time!

Cook won't be too happy with that shot when he looks back, things were starting to look easier out there with the sun coming out. Well its the two men at the top we have been talking about Hales and Compton. And Compton is gone.
