I'm a big fan of Hain, but he seemed to slump towards the end of last season. Hasn't started well this time either.
Well done Clarke, his team would be under a bit of pressure without him! Essex's Mickleburgh has tonned up as well.

An early blow to Yorkshire. Bresnan will miss the first 6 weeks of the season due to a torn calf.

Why, did the farmer hear about it?

Haven't heard of this Tongue chap from Worcs before but he has taken the first 2 wickets for the county.
Oh and Root's younger brother is batting for Leeds/Bradford at the moment.

Very much looking forward to the new season.
I'm always so far off with my predictions but here goes anyway:
Div 1 Champs - Warwickshire Relegated - Hants and Lancs
Div 2 Champs - Sussex
One day cup - Surrey
T20 Blast - Hants

I hope your Division 1 predictions are off, although if I was in my 'non-bias mode' I'd probably agree with your relegation candidates.

I'm feeling bold today so here re my 'alternative' predictions:
Div 1 - Champions: Surrey (If they're bowling fires on all cyllinders, if not Yorskshire again) Relegated: Hampshire & Lancashire
Div 2 - Champions: Kent
One Day cup: Nottinghamshire
T20: Somerset

Div 1 -
Champions: Warwickshire
Relegated: Lancashire and Hampshire
Div 2 -
Champions: Essex
I was tempted to put Sussex but I have a good feeling about Essex this year. Did well last season, Lancs and Surrey just left everyone else in the dust. Backing their youngsters to make a big impact, Dan Lawrence and Nick Browne in particular.
One Day Cup: Surrey
T20: Kent

I'm not going to try for predictions, my first div. ones are the same as everyone else's anyway. Somerset as a dark horse for relegation.
Instead, I came into the thread to say FIVE-FER FOR SHANTREEEEEEEEE

Student ton! Basil Akram putting Surrey's much-vaunted attack to shame. Bravo Basil.

Essex are enjoying their warm-up. Mickleburgh with successive centuries and Browne with his own century after scoring 87 in the first innings.

150 up for Basil Akram, impressive. Edit: Hain duck. Not having a great start.

Remove Hain from rankings, replace him with Boyd/Trott?
