I'm not a fan of Surrey, although I dont mind supporting any team that has Sanga in it. But given they are in the same group as Durham, I'd ideally want them to lose and lose badly.

Vince used to open in List A cricket, so interesting to see him down the order today.

Hampshire a little up against it thus far. Surrey, meanwhile, unsurpringly sprinting away.

Looks like we might have three teams joint top of Group A at the end of the day.

Gary Ballance scored runs! 69 of them, to be precise, in 70 balls. That's the Baz we know and love (that isn't McCullum).

Oh come on Songster, I predict he'll finish with Surrey's best bowling figures in the game. Dern's figures so far, 5-1-13-2.

****. That's one for the #DBF thread.
Ben Duckett must be wondering what he did in a previous life to be saddled with this lot.

So the only official game anywhere in the world today is Glamorgan v Kent. Brilliant! Think it's quite right that all other cricket should stop so the mighty Kent & Cooke can be admired for all to see

Wait until the match is abandoned without a ball being bowled

I don't know whether Steadzz knew whether to laugh or cry after Cooke got Glam home and made Kent lose a game they were dominating with seven overs to go.
As good as his hitting was, Kent's no balls really hurt them and the rain was the savior for Glam, along with Cooke.

I don't know whether Steadzz knew whether to laugh or cry after Cooke got Glam home and made Kent lose a game they were dominating with seven overs to go. As good as his hitting was, Kent's no balls really hurt them and the rain was the savior for Glam, along with Cooke. I was somewhere in the middle. It's not easy seeing Kent self implode and an player that I admire so much play an incredible knock... I still find it brilliant how the Sky commentators (Cork & Allott) are so clueless. Last year they were raving about Darren Sammy in the T20, Cooke played a major innings which gave Glamorgan a chance, then when he was still in on 30*, Sammy got out and the commentators said "well there goes any hope for Glamorgan" (Glamorgan won that game). Last night was more of the same, Dominic Cork was even saying how Wallace is a key player. (The same Wallace who hasn't hit a hundred in any form for 4 years now) The only man in the comms box who seemed to know Cooke could even hold a bat was Solanki (I thought he was actually very good). To finish my rant, I just find it odd that the county commentators, don't seem to know who the good/in form players are in the county circuit. Back to the actual game, Kent's bowling was woeful at the death. I'm almost glad that game was broadcast just so people got to see how bad Claydon now is. He was great in the T20s, but anything where it's slightly longer so the batsmen have more time to get used to him, he is useless. I thought Matt Coles bowled well again, Ivan Thomas is still only young, he made some bad mistakes that he will learn from with experience and Stevens was Stevens. Overall, we're going to now need to win most of our games (including tough games against Notts & Warwickshire) I just hope we don't end up losing our T20 QF otherwise it will be another pretty mediocre season.
