I'll go left-field and say Durham won't get it

This starts in three days, the ECB have done a nifty little promotional video for it here: www.ecb.co.uk/news/domestic/royal-london-one-day-cupThe competition opens with last year's champions, Durham, against Northants and Notts against Warwickshire. Really enjoyed this tournament last year, hoping for an equally entertaining one this year.

Seeing as Durham always lose on SKY, I'm glad their only televised game is tomorrow. hopefully that will give us enough time to recover and get beyond the group stage by winning enough of the rest of the games.

Here we go, then! With non-ODI List As in England seemingly not having taken the "elongated T20" approach so much to heart, I can still find something in them to enjoy.
Warks. may well be very grateful to Bell for his ground-out fifty.

When you have pitches that offer something for the bowlers, you can't go gung-ho all the time. The ODI pitches for the ODI series aside from CLS were roads, usually not all ODIs are played in roads. I think anything over 275 is a match-winning total on the pitch, if it doesn't get any better.

I don't think we'll get any nail-biters out of these two. Alex Hales has his eye in, and Rushworth has just carried on doing what he was doing in the championship.

A champion performance from the holders as Durham cruise to a 54 run win over Northants. DURHAM WIN ON SKY. DURHAM WIN ON SKY.

When you are out of form, you are out of form. Perhaps England weren't wrong to drop him after all.

four matches abandoned without a ball being bowled, one match without even an innings completed and another is a 14 over match and they wonder why they don't play T20 in a block.

Yorkshire v Gloucestershire. 52 overs bowled and time for a tea break but no time for a result. They knew the weather situation so why not give the umpires discretion to get a match in the known available time

Durham forcast awful for the day. Yet another game being ruined by the weather. Really backing up why we can't trust playing competitions in one block, even though it would make more sense.

Yup, which is why I decided to save the travel money and stay at home.

Durham v Worcs may have awful weather, but mostly dry in the south and I reckon we'll get results in the other 4 games.
