Almost another 14 run win, ha. Scotland eliminated unfortunately, still hoping they can achieve their first T20I win at a global event in their last game though.
Would like Hong Kong to do well but hope Afghanistan wins to make the Zim/Afg match more interesting.
Edit: Great to see Hassan back!

Very good win for Afghanistan, unfortunately Hong Kong not performing as well as they can.

Looks like Group A will be a big disappointment for some. Netherlands v Oman is washed out and if the second match is rained off then Oman and Bangladesh will fight for qualification. Really sucks for the Netherlands and Ireland if that were to be the case, when their next chance on a big stage could be in 4 years time.
Edit: Ireland get a chance in a reduced game, been very sloppy though. Couple of drops already, few other errors. Bangladesh 52-0 after 4 overs, wow. Too much pressure, perhaps.
Edit 2: Looks to be over now due to heavy rain again. Must be a horrid feeling knowing you've been knocked out of the tournament after only one full match played. After already putting in the hard work to qualify for a qualifier too. Although, Ireland and the Netherlands let themselves down in their opening games, to be fair. Anyway, hoping Oman can pull off something special against Bangladesh.

The England v NZ warm-up is going on at the moment and Rashid has ended up with fantastic figures of 3-15 after 4 overs. England did relatively well to 'pull it back' really as NZ were 84-1 after 7.5 overs. Still, 169 is a challenging total to chase. Afghanistan struggled in the middle of their innings but really motored at the end to post a huge total of 186. Edit: Afghanistan into the Super 10's, huzzah! And England chase down NZ's 169 to win. Things did look a little tight at the end but Buttler put any doubt to rest. Funnily enough, they had a warm-up super over after the match as well. They had to defend 15 and Jordan was sent in to bowl. He took two wickets and NZ only scored 6. Maybe if they told Jordan that every over was a super over...

18 years and 21 attempts for victory at a global event and Scotland have finally achieved it against Hong Kong. Reduced to 10 overs but a win is a win nonetheless and I'm glad they finally got there, at least they have that.

Unsurprisingly both of today's matches look like they are going to be rained off.

Ireland collapse horribly to lose six over match by 12 runs. Fantastic bowling from the dutch, especially from Van Meekeren.

England are partly warming up against themselves today as Buttler, Vince, Willey and Rashid are part of the opposition. Dawson is having a little tryout too.
Edit: Willey takes a very Finn-esque hattrick off the last three balls of the innings, after the damage has been done.

Not sure they're quite the best players in their actual positions, but Dawson and Jordan are probably two of the best close fielders on the circuit, so we might get a few highlights out of them during the tournament.

Can Jordan... actually... just bowl yorkers please? Like, all yorkers? It seems to be the only thing he can bowl that doesn't result in him getting deposited around the ground, but it sounds like he actually bowls them pretty well.

Glad to see Afghanistan do well.
Still wouldn't play Chris Jordan. He may be able to bowl yorkers, but he also guaranteed to go for 35+ runs.
The big teams join the show today. India v New Zealand - should be an intersting game. India are clear favourites so an NZ win would certainly make things interesting.

Semi finalist prediction time!
Group 1: Greg Chappel: England and South Africa Ajit Agarkar: West Indies and South Africa
Group 2: Greg Chappel: India and Australia Ajit Agarkar: India and Australia
My picks: South Africa, England, India, Australia
Hm. Less diversity than I hoped! Any other thoughts?

England? HAHAHAHA. For all their promise they seem to fall apart in tourneys, and I'm sure this one will be no different.
India, Australia, WI, SA... d'oh. (Wildcard would be the Bangles.)
