I'm looking forward it - it's test cricket again!
Hopefully New Zealand give them a right walloping.

Too right, I'm hoping for more (many many more) from the Kane train and Boult to rush back into form. Craig, though. EDIT: This is not how I hoped it would go.

97/6 just as I'm about to go to bed.
This wasn't the plan.

Heh, Voges' average is above Bradman's now. Not even sure how to feel about that!
Edit: And broke a Tendulkar record, apparently.

Age is no barrier. Voges would appear an inspired pick.
35 years old with no test cap. 8 months later he has 5 centuries, 1200 runs and an average of 100. Not bad.

Second test just started. NZ are 23/2 in 15 overs. However the last 10 overs read 3/2.

Are we sure this is a test match?
In his last ever international appearence Brendon McCullum has just hit the fastest test century in history - 54 balls. Beats the record of 56 previous held by Misbah and Sir Viv.
Current partnership is 107 in 10.2 overs.
Edit: Probably also worth mentioning that he was spectacularly caught by Marsh of Pattison when he was on 39. But it was a no ball...

Steve: "Does anyone actually talk about the cricket on this site or just dribble about jinxes and cooking tips?"
Ah, I love espncricinfo.

The commentary's great. Y'know what's not great? Burns and Smith making runs for fun. At least they're gone now... ...and in strides Voges.

Aus with another good series and back to No. 1 in the test rankings. I hoped that it would have been a little more competitive but it has been a good summer for them nonetheless, even if it hasn't been the most engaging.
