The good news for scotland, is that with Namibia and Afghanistan out the way, they can focus finally on nz, pak and India...

QDK's statement seems... about as good as it could have been in the circumstances? He's certainly not doubled down.

Yes, I think I agree. There's a little bit of 'some of my friends are black' in there, but reading it, and assuming it's valid, maybe his lack of participation in anti-racist gestures is because he feels he shouldn't have to prove he's racist? Which is not at all what the gesture was about, and maybe he understands that now?
Jury's still out, but... 'about as good as it could have been in the circumstances' feels right.

Warner hitting form is a bit of a worry, but Aus really do have balance issues. The fifth bowler (Maxwell/Stoinis) got smashed by SL, and almost all of their batters want to open. They could win, of course - the front three seamers and the top three are excellent - but it's really not how you should be constructing a side.

Not sure i'd say Warner is back in form just yet, that SL attack isn't the strongest, esp with a dewy ball, but they are always a team who has the players to win any match, certainly think their balance is all wrong, they'd look a MUCH better prospect with someone like Inglis coming in to that batting line up for sure

What on earth has happened to the Windies?!? They've scraped a competitive score here vs Bangladesh, but again a massive batting collapse and you've got to feel they're short of runs again.

The ones that are good are very old, and the ones that aren't old aren't very good.
Apart from Jason Holder, apparently.

Yeah think you're right nemo, a WC too far for them, still I wouldn't want to still have to play them in the group stage and am glad we've got them out of the way!
Really looking forward to the Pakistan v Afghan game today, 2 v exciting teams, lots of explosive batters and possibly the best 2 bowlers on show at the WC in Shaheen and Rashid Khan (cue dull low scoring game....)

Ooooft. Once again it's matches between flawed teams that are coming up with the goods.

Have we even faced 30 overs across the 3 games yet!?!? Absolute humping today, that is a PROPER thrashing, test equivalent of an Innings and 300 run pumping that is
