We absolutely deserved that. The whole club seems to have just lost confidence in our ability to win matches properly for no obvious reasons. Well done Lancs.

Extras scored 3 (2 lb, 1 b) for Lancs over the two innings - impressive from Somerset. Lancs giving 17 extras to Somerset (including 8 byes and 4 no balls)

Have to say on days like today when something momentous, historic even, happens, I REALLY have missed the cricinfo liveblog, only ever really know what's going on in the Yorks match and there aren't enough of us on here to generate constant traffic and discussion. Sad

I spent much of yesterday on the Grauniad liveblog, which has a disproportionately high number of Lancashire fans.

Yeah, I feel like I need to go back to the Guardian one, hung around there going back years but didn't like their comment format as much. But at least it exists.

All the talk of pitch inspectors at Taunton, the real disgrace is at Trent Bridge where Yorks are 300+ for 4. That pitch must have nothing in it for the bowlers.

The inspectors should have been camping out at Derby all season. Proper pudding, that one.
